Art is what stirs me. It can be the beauty of God's creation or the colors in a still life set-up or just the mood. I love it all, the challenge of it, the excitment and/or frustation as it evolves and the satisfaction when I think it is completed. There is always the striving to better one's self through the process which takes a life time, one never "arrives". I have painted in some form or other most of my life, taking courses & workshops every chance I get which goes into what I am as an artist. I am constantly evolving as an artist. I focused on pastel for good while but am adding oil painting back into what I do. My goal is to paint several times a week, who knows I may even get up to a painting a day but there are grandkids to enjoy which might slow me down (I have eight). I paint in my studio and have begun doing plein air. And I might enter a show or two again to add to my award ribbons collection. It's all fun!
